Implementation of temperature in micromagnetic simulations

Micromagnetic theory in a strict sense is a deterministic, classical theory, which allows to calculate the evolution of a magnetic system. Within this model thermally activated effects like superparamagnetic switching and spontaneous nucleation of domain walls cannot be described. To study these effects as well as to provide a tool for a broader audience, we have implemented temperature in the well-known program OOMMF which is in the public domain.
