"Magnetism on a Molecular Scale: Experiment and Theory"

September 17th to 19th 2014
Hamburg, Germany

We would like to invite you to participate at and to contribute to the SFB668 and TRR88 summer school "Magnetism on a Molecular Scale", which will take place from the 17th to the 19th of September 2014 in Hamburg. This summer school is primarily directed towards grad students and post-docs and we encourage you to share your scientific results in form of a talk or a poster.
There is no registration fee.

Organizers

Bernhard Bugenhagen (PhD-Student)
Tabea Buban (PhD-Student)

and SFB 668 - Collaborative Research Center on "Magnetism: from a single atom to nanostructures" of the University of Hamburg

Venue

Dept. of Chemistry,
University of Hamburg,
Martin-Luther-King-Platz 6
20146 Hamburg
Germany

Scope

Since 2006 the interdisciplinary SFB668 "Magnetism: from a single atom to nanostructures" successfully investigates magnetism in structures of nanometer and subnanometer scale. To accomplish this aim, in the SFB668 many fruitful collaborations between theoretical and experimental physicists and chemists are established. This interdisciplinary summer school, reaching out to grad students with chemical and/or physical backgrounds, has the purpose to improve the deeper understanding of nanomagnetism. It also provides an excellent platform for emerging scientists to present and discuss their research. Thus, the program will consist of talks by PhD-students/post-docs and invited lectures from established chemists and physicists and a poster session with BBQ. We are looking forward to your contributions to our delightful summer school.
