29.11.2016, 17:00 Jungiusstr. 11, Hörsaal AP | SFB 668 - Kolloquium Dr. P. Schmitteckert (Universität Würzburg): From Counting Statistics to Majorana Braiding: the discovery of slownessFirst I review the results for charge transport within the interacting
resonant level model (IRLM), which possesses a phase transition at a
finite source drain voltage. In order to establish this phase transition
within numerics one has to perform a finite time analysis similar to a
finite size analysis for equilibrium phase transitions. In addition, the
phase transition can only be seen in the cumulant generating function for
charge transport, but not in the cumulants like current or shot noise.
In the second part of my talk I discuss the dynamics of Majorana edge states
by looking at the dynamics of a fully microscopic model, not restricting
to the sub space of the edge states only. The focus is on the slowness of
the Majorana dynamics that is needed in order to perform simple operations. |
